Michael Keaton, an American actor and director best known for his role in Birdman. A versatile actor he is proficient in comedy as well as dramatic parts. He has also portrayed a few romantic characters and appeared in several action thrillers throughout his career. The passion for performing arts began when he was in his teen years. He tried stand up comedy in his early 20s. The comedy venture wasn't a success, however it paved the way for his acting career. The comedian was not able to make the success he had as a comedian, so he became a TV cameraman for the cable channel. It was while working there when he came to the realization that he actually wanted to be in front of the camera. After a couple of episodes on Mister Rogers Neighborhood, he could land the role on TV. His talent as an actor helped him become a household name on television. His early films his aspirations were high and gained acclaim for his comical characters. His career was further enhanced when he won acclaim in the role of Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. In time, his acting skills developed and he was able exploring the possibility of directing and production. The year 2014 saw his appearance as Birdman earned him numerous accolades and nods.
